WMATA Bike Shelter: Innovative Design and Project Efficiency

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Bike Shelter is a secured and enclosed facility designed to provide safe and convenient bike parking for commuters. This state-of-the-art shelter features a key swipe activation system and a 42-inch auto sliding door, ensuring both security and ease of access. Duo-Gard provided turnkey services from design through installation, saving the client both time and money, while delivering high-quality, efficient solutions that meet the high demands of Washington, D.C. commuters.

• Capacity: 100 bikes on dual-height racks

• Materials: 20mm opal polycarbonate batten roof, clear anodized aluminum framing, galvanized woven wire mesh walls
